Christmas Time in the City (KL, of course, where else?)

Wilayah Complex, KL

Wilayah Complex, KL

My friend Choy is back in KL for Christmas, his first tropical one in over 30 years.

Choy is an architect in Minnesota, and his Christmases are usually cold and white, not humid and sticky. This year, he flew home with his wife and two college-age daughters Szuyin and Szumei, to spend Christmas with their extended Malaysian family.

But first, he got up early and took a solo walk around old KL.

Here’s what he saw. And felt.
